Xiem [sim] Clay Center comprises a modern ceramics studio providing 24/7 access for members, an education center for the ceramic arts and a fine art ceramics gallery and store featuring innovative, contemporary, fine art pottery and sculpture. It is located in the heart of Pasadena, California and was founded by Kevin Xiem Nguyen in 2003.

The purpose of Xiem Clay Center is to promote a community of ceramic artists and to further public awareness, understanding and appreciation of ceramic arts.

We offer studio memberships and classes taught by leading artists and faculty from various institutions. We strive to create a fun and exciting place to make ceramic art and to enjoy interacting with a great group of people.

We carry a wide range of specialized tools and ceramic supplies. We also stock Aardvark and Laguna clays.

Xiem Clay Center is located in the beautiful historic city of Pasadena, California. Situated just beneath the San Gabriel Mountain range and only minutes from downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena boasts many great museums, cultural activities, architectural attractions and fine restaurants.

Xiem Gallery promotes excellence in ceramic art. Regular exhibitions feature established and emerging regional and national artists.

An exceptional range of contemporary studio ceramics, produced primarily by Xiem studio artists, is always on view in our retail section.
