Hand-Building I
This course covers a variety of hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and press molding, with instruction in elementary techniques of glaze application.

Sculpture

For Seniors of all ages! Explore a variety of ceramic techniques at a more leisurely pace. This course will cover wheel and hand-building techniques, with an introduction to surface decoration and glazing.

Figure Sculpture
For students with previous ceramics experience - an introduction to modeling the figure in clay, working from a live model.

Surface Decoration Part I
This class introduces a wide range of decorative techniques for use on plastic clay, leather-hard clay and fired pieces.
Developing Texture:

ADVANCED CLASSES: Glaze Calculation
Glaze Calculation (class duration: 12 weeks)
Learn to make your own glazes. This course is designed for students and professional potters who have mastered the basic concepts of technical ceramics and have some familiarity with ceramic materials, basic bodies, various oxides and stains in glazing. This class meets every second Saturday over a 12-week period, to allow enough time for experimentation and firing of student work between class meetings.
Fees: $240 +$45 (lab materials) = $285
